Show your CAD models some love.

So you’ve created a stunning CAD model but your CAD packages has no real rendering capabilities…FEAR NOT!
There is a way to import your CAD models into your rendering software, in this case Cinema 4D. Click the image below to see what I am on about.

As you can see I made various alloy wheels, all modelling was done in Inventor before exporting as a .stl and then importing into Cinema 4D. The process is pretty simple:

Make something
SaveAs – select .stl
Open .stl
Apply phong tag
Assign materials

Then all you have to do is sit and OOH and AHH as your CAD models are shown some love.
